Inspired by the Bay of Fundy’s Hopewell Rocks, Maika’s debut book, Calagarmii Cliffs, <\/em>was written in 2014. She was Ten years old at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Fiction-Fantasy adventure follows best friends Emma and Kaila on a class field trip to the mysterious Calagarmii Cliffs. There, they explore on their own and find a magical world unlike anything they’ve ever known. Together, the girls must make new friends and fight evil foes to get back home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Featuring all-new illustrations by Maika, the 2nd edition of Calagarmii Cliffs is now available online (Amazon.ca and this website), in several Moncton stores, and by contacting maikabranch@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Skye and Larah live alone, in the sprawling forest of Serenah. The sisters are free to hunt, explore, and practice strangely magical abilities. But their peaceful lives are shattered when a boy appears, seemingly from another world, and with him comes the worst spring storm the sisters have ever seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their home destroyed, the sisters and this new boy, must work together and travel far away from Serenah to find a new home.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
